What We Believe
Angel Mountain Ministries has roots in what most would recognise as ‘normal’ Christianity – or, as someone once put it: 'the main and plain things of Scripture'. We focus on those things that Christians tend to agree on, yet welcome diverse expressions of faith. We therefore identify with the sentiment expressed by the Moravian Brothers in the Middle Ages:
In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in everything, love.
We believe in creating an environment where both believers and seekers are free to discover who God made them to be, and that relationships borne out of love are more important than anything else. We like to think of ourselves as as organism rather than an organisation.
Our events, and our School of Worship and Leadership, attract believers from most mainstream denominations, both Protestant and Catholic. We aim to create an environment where people are free to ask questions within a framework of love and acceptance.
The article 'Washing With Wine' (see Articles section) discusses some of the issues we are currently exploring.
